About WRO India Season 2024
The WRO India Season 2024 is a premier robotics competition that brings together students from across the country to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems using robotics. This year’s theme, “Earth Allies,” emphasizes the role of technology and innovation in addressing global sustainability challenges. Participants are encouraged to create intelligent robotic solutions that can help protect and preserve our planet.
Competition Categories
The Regional Championship in Bengaluru featured two main competition categories:
Future Innovators (FI)
Elementary (8-12 years)
Junior (11-15 years)
Senior (14-19 years)
In the Future Innovators category, students develop innovative robotics projects related to the season’s theme. Teams can use any materials and are guided by a coach to create their solutions.
RoboMission (RM)
Elementary (8-12 years)
Junior (11-15 years)
The RoboMission category involves designing, constructing, and programming autonomous robots to solve specific challenges on a competition field. All robot parts must be from LEGO®️. Notably, the Senior Age group of RoboMission will compete directly in the National Championship, bypassing the regional level.

Event Highlights
Day 1: Opening Ceremony and Initial Rounds
The event kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony, celebrating the spirit of innovation and collaboration. The initial rounds saw Future Innovators Elementary teams presenting their projects and RoboMission teams testing their robots’ capabilities. The atmosphere was electric with anticipation and enthusiasm as young innovators showcased their hard work and ingenuity.
Day 2: Final Rounds and Awards
The second day was marked by intense competition and final presentations. Judges meticulously evaluated each project, considering creativity, technical complexity, and relevance to the theme. RoboMission category teams showcased their robot’s potential in completing different challenges on the game mat. The event concluded with an awards ceremony, where outstanding teams were recognized for their exceptional contributions.
