What is WRO?

The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) stands as a beacon for young minds, sparking innovation and creativity in the realm of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It provides a platform for students aged 8-19 to showcase their talents in cutting-edge robotics competitions.

WRO India Season 2024

The upcoming WRO India Season 2024 promises to be an unparalleled experience, inviting young enthusiasts to participate in the global celebration of robotics and technological advancement. This season, WRO introduces the theme “Earth Allies,” challenging participants to explore robotics solutions that harmonize with nature and address real-world challenges, such as natural disasters.

What To Expect?

Participants can anticipate a journey filled with mind-stimulating questions and hands-on challenges. The theme “Earth Allies” prompts teams to ponder the possibility of living in harmony with nature through robotics intervention. The WRO Season 2024 is not just a competition; it’s an opportunity for young minds to contribute to solutions that could shape the future.

Participate In WRO India For Free*

This year, WRO invites teams of 2-3 students in the same age group, led by an adult coach, to participate in one of the four competition categories: RoboMission, Future Innovators, RoboSports, and Future Engineers.
Notably, one team from each school can participate for free in the Future Innovators category, exempt from registration fees.(only for schools)

 How Can a School Get Involved?

· Team Registration: Encourage interested students to form teams and register for the WRO Future Innovators Category. Each team consists of 2-3 students and a mentor from School Teacher.

 · Educator Support: Our team provides comprehensive online support for educators, including resource materials, training sessions, and access to a community of experienced mentors. We are committed to ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for both students and teachers.

· Infrastructure Requirements: The competition requires minimal resources. Teams can utilize existing facilities and equipment of Robotics, STEM or Electronics lab in your school, making it a cost-effective addition to your school’s extracurricular offerings.

WRO India Fee & Trainings

Future Innovators Category

Entry Point – Virtual Championship (Level 1)

  • The first team from each school participates for free.
  • Subsequent team fees: Rs. 6000/- per team by 21st January 2024, Rs. 7500/- per team by 31st April 2024.
  • Coaches and students undergo certified online training to prepare for the championship.

RoboMission Category

Entry Point – Regional Championship (Level 2)

  • Dates: ~ Jun – Aug, 2024
  • Fee: INR 18000/Team

Future Engineers Category


Entry Point – National Championship (Level 3)

  • Dates: 28-30 Aug, 2024
  • Fees: INR 18,000/Team

RoboSports Category

Entry point – National Championship (Level 3)

  • Dates: 28-30 Aug, 2024
  • Fee: INR 18,000/Team

Here are the last dates to register for all the different competition categories. Virtual championship is for future Innovators category only. Regional championship is for RoboMission and qualified Future Innovators teams only. RoboSports and Future Innovators directly register for entry in the national championship.
