The competition is divided into two categories, RoboMission and Future Innovators, where students from 8-15 years can participate through Elementary(Ages 8-12), Junior(Ages 11-15), and Senior(Ages 14-19) categories. About the Event
On December 17, 2022, the WRO India (City) Chapter 1 successfully organized and put the start to the first-ever WRO Gurugram India – City Championship from the Alpine Convent School, Gurugram. The school, an India STEM Foundation Partner School, served as the host venue and played an instrumental role in the successful inauguration of this inter-school robotics competition
Categories & Winners
The WRO Gurugram India – City Championship featured two competitive categories: RoboMission and Future Innovators. Participants competed in these categories to showcase their technical skills and innovative thinking. The results for each category are highlighted below.
RoboMission Category Results
The WRO® RoboMission is a challenging competition requiring students to design, build and program autonomous robots capable of tackling specific obstacles in a randomly configured arena. It tests students’ creativity, technical skills and adaptability.
RoboMission Elementary Category Gurugram City Championship Winners
The RoboMission Elementary Category (age group 8-12 yrs.) was a display of brilliant problem-solving abilities and creativity. The following teams of highly skilled and competitive participants emerged as winners, showcasing their impressive talents and determination.
1st Position – Alpine Power Chargers 4.0
In the RoboMission Elementary Category, the Alpine Power Chargers 4.0 team, represented by Kanishk Patidat, Sehejbir, and Harshit Jain of Alpine Convent School, Sector-10, Gurugram, dominated the competition and secured the 1st position with their outstanding performance.
2nd Position – Three Legends
The RoboMission Elementary Category saw fierce competition, but the team Three Legends, represented by Kanishk Verma, Samridh Gupta, and Darsh Dwivedi of Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram, Class 7 – A, under the guidance of their coach Suvarna Agarwal, came in strong and secured the runner-up position with their impressive performance.
RoboMission Junior Category Gurugram City Championship Winners
The RoboMission Junior Category (age group 11-15 yrs.) was a showcase of outstanding talent and skill. The following teams emerged victorious, delivering a truly exceptional and commendable performance.
1st Position – Alpine Power Chargers 1.0
The Alpine Power Chargers 1.0 team, represented by Akshat Suhag, Tanishq Malhotra, and Rhythm Verma of Alpine Convent School, Gurugram, secured 1st place in the RoboMission Junior Category with their exceptional performance, technical skills, and determination.
2nd Position – Alpine Power Chargers 2.0
In the RoboMission Junior Category, the Alpine Power Chargers 2.0 team, represented by Prateek Saini, Saransh, and Shiona Chatterjee of Alpine Convent School, Sector-10, Gurugram, showed their skills and determination by securing second place with a strong performance. The team’s technical proficiency, creativity, and competitive spirit helped them to finish as runners-up in the event.
Future Innovators Category Results
The Future Innovators competition challenges students to develop original and creative robotics solutions, with this year’s theme ‘My Robot, My Friend.’ It tests students’ creativity and technical skills, pushing them to think outside the box and develop unique solutions on how humans and robots can be good companions across various industries and job roles.
Future Innovators Elementary Category Gurugram City Championship Winners
The Future Innovators competition in the elementary category (age group 8-12 yrs.) was a display of outstanding knowledge of technology and remarkable talent. The following teams of highly skilled and competitive participants showcased their impressive talents and determination and are future innovators in the making.
1st Position – Team Power Chargers 3.0
The Alpine Power Chargers 3.0 team, represented by Naimish Hooda and Advik of Alpine Convent School, Gurugram, secured 1st place in the Future Innovators Elementary Category with their exceptional performance, technical skills, and determination.
2nd Position – Team IHS102
The team IHS102, represented by Jasmin Kaur, Aditya Thanvi, and Ashi Ojha of Imperial Heritage School, Class 6TH – A, under the guidance of coach Praveen Sharma, secured 2nd place in the Future Innovators Elementary Category with their impressive performance, technical skills, and innovative capabilities.
Future Innovators Junior Category Gurugram City Championship Winners
The Future Innovators Junior Category (age group 11-15 yrs.) saw top-notch performances from the following teams, who showcased exceptional understanding and creativity in robotics. They pushed the limits and set the bar high for the competition. Here are the winners:
1st Position – Team Clawx Hackers
In the Future Innovators Junior Category, the Clawx Hackers team, represented by Daksh Yadav and Vyom Dwivedi of class 8- A and Nipun Dhawan of class 8- G of Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram, under the guidance of their coach Suvarna Agarwal, dominated the competition and secured the top spot with their impressive performance, technical skills, and their exceptional creativity.
2nd Position – Team Drona Explorer
The Future Innovators Junior Category was a fierce competition, but the Drona Explorer team, represented by Surbhi Yadav of class 9 – A2, Bhavishya Rohilla of class 10 – A2, and Ayush Kumar of class 10 – A1 of Drona Public School, under the guidance of their coach Mrunalini Nilesh Mahajan, stepped up to the challenge and secured a strong second-place finish with their impressive performance, technical skills, and determination.
3rd Position – Team Thinks Bots
Last but not the least, The Thinks Bots team, represented by Vaibhav, Soumya Gautam, and Tanmay Srivastava of Airforce School Sec-14, Gurugram, secured 3rd place in the Future Junior Elementary Category under the guidance of their coach Nisha Kumari, with their impressive performance, technical skills, and cut-throat performance.
